Local Birdingpal Contacts
Local Birdwatchers
Using the Birdingpal resources you must agree to the following: If you contact a local Birdingpal and make arrangement to go birding, you should note it is common courtesy to make sure you show up for the appointment. If for any reason you are unable to do this, the least you must do is contacting the local Pal right away.
Please note that most Birdingpals are serious birdwatchers. It is a privilege to contact them, and your message should reflect it. A local Pal does not get paid, but should he/she offer to take you out birding, using their own vehicle, it would be courteous to pay for the fuel. A lunch and/or a small gift would also be appropriate, something as simple as a souvenir of your country, or a pin from your local birding club.

His ability to call birds is amazing (has to be seen to be believed, the birds call back to him!!) and his eye sight is incredible. He has a wide knowledge of the local flora and fauna and their local remedies/uses.

I am a well known Gambian bird watching guide and I can arrange and organise trips of just half a day or for several days during your holiday in the Gambia.
I organise and manage many trips around the coastal area to places that have become well known to ornithologists all over the world for the excellent opportunities they offer to bird watchers. For those with a couple of days available, I can arrange road or river trips to Tendaba camp, Georgetown and Basse.
If you are really keen and wish to see more exotic species further up country, I can arrange longer trips for three or four days (two or three nights) with all transport and accommodation provided. These longer trips make it possible to reach excellent bird watching locations like Tendaba camp and Basse, possibly returning via Georgetown and the north bank of the river Gambia, always stopping at the best spots on the way. Places like Myanga Bantang, Panchang, Kaur Wetland and Bao Bolong Wetland.
